PINE, Colo., April 15, 2026 — South Platte Services, LLC, a locally owned waste and sanitation company serving Colorado’s foothill communities, today announced the acquisition of certain assets of SSP Waste, a residential trash service provider operating in Jefferson, Park, and Clear Creek Counties.
The acquisition adds residential curbside trash and recycling to South Platte Services’ existing operations, which include septic services, commercial dumpsters, roll-off rentals, and portable restrooms. The acquisition marks South Platte Services’ entry into residential curbside service and expands its presence across the foothills region.
Existing SSP Waste customers will experience no disruption in service. Collection routes, pickup schedules, and service personnel will remain consistent.

PINE, COLORADO – June 10, 2025 – Shirley Septic Pumping, LLC (“Shirley Septic”) announced today that it will be joining South Platte Services, LLC and its family of companies.
Doug and Nora Atkinson, owners of South Platte Services, LLC, have also owned Shirley Septic since 2022 when they relocated to Pine and purchased it from the Shirley Family, long-term residents of the area. The Shirley Family continues to own and operate their residential trash services company SSP Waste and its affiliates.
Initially, South Platte Services, LLC will operate as three divisions. South Platte Waste will be the name of the company’s solid waste activities, specifically the commercial and roll-off dumpster divisions. South Platte Portables will include the company’s portable restroom rentals. South Platte Septic will include septic pumping, servicing, installation and repair, and may retain the name Shirley Septic in some form, a division of the previous company of the same name which has been serving the area for over 50 years.
