OFFICE ADMINISTRATOR

Location: Pine, CO 80470
Type: Full-Time, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Compensation: $18–$28/hour, based on experience and skill level

Position Overview

South Platte Services is seeking an organized, dependable Office Administrator to join our team.

Our office supports several service lines, including residential trash and recycling, commercial dumpsters, roll-offs, portable restrooms, and septic services. We are looking for someone who can learn our business, communicate effectively with customers and field employees, stay organized, and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.

This is a broad office position with opportunities to specialize based on experience, strengths, and the needs of the company. Areas of focus may include customer service, dispatch and operations, septic administration, or billing and bookkeeping. Applicants do not need experience in all of these areas.

Areas of Focus

Depending on experience and assigned responsibilities, the position may focus primarily in one or more of the following areas:

Customer Service & Accounts

• Answer incoming calls and assist customers with questions and service requests
• Set up and maintain customer accounts, schedule services, and process payments
• Help resolve customer issues and coordinate with other members of the office team

Dispatch & Operations

• Coordinate information between the office and field employees
• Maintain visibility into daily schedules, drivers, trucks, equipment, and workload
• Help solve daily operating issues and coordinate resources to keep routes and services on track

Septic Administration

• Assist homeowners, real estate professionals, and other customers with septic-related service needs
• Coordinate septic scheduling and manage related documentation
• Develop knowledge of the regulations and processes specific to septic services

Billing & Bookkeeping

• Prepare and process invoices and payments
• Track accounts receivable and follow up on past-due balances
• Assist with basic bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous experience in office administration, customer service, dispatch, scheduling, billing, bookkeeping, or a related role preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
•  Strong organizational, problem-solving, and multitasking skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to take ownership of issues and follow them through to resolution
• Comfortable learning and working across multiple software systems
• Experience with Microsoft Office, Google applications, Outlook, or QuickBooks Online is helpful
• Experience in the waste, septic, transportation, logistics, or service industries is helpful but not required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States and able to pass a pre-employment background check
